Super Mario World

According to NBC Universal, the title of the upcoming Mario movie sequel is called Super Mario World.

While that may seem like a small tidbit, it’s the only piece of information we’ve received about the film since it was announced over a year ago. Nintendo confirmed plans for it on MAR10 Day 2024. Since that news drop, the company has been keeping quiet.

Super Mario World obviously has significant meaning in the video game world. In the early 90s, Nintendo released its SNES platformer that had the same name.

Little is known about the Super Mario World movie. While NBC Universal provided the name, that’s all it shared today. We did previously receive a release date of April 3, 2026 and the news that Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are back to direct.

der erste war halt ECHT gut. Also auf öhm... spaßhaben und fansbegeistern-bezogen.
Ich war ja insb. angetan davon wie sies hingekriegt haben in einem Film den Spaß des Kartens und insb. des Jump n Runnens reinzukriegen. Das war megastark.

Bin mal gespannt, ob der mir besser gefällt, als der erste Teil. Der blieb ja leider ein Stück weit hinter meinem ursprünglichen Hype zurück.
Wobei ich dadurch dieses mal meine eigentliche Skepsis zu Illumination-Studios beibehalten werde.
